Audience insight

Awesome communications start with a close understanding of who your audiences are, what they want from you, and what else goes on in their world. We take our skills in audience research for large organisations and design approaches that bring organisations of all sizes closer to their audiences.

We have delivered audience insight projects for clients including the Motor Neurone Disease Association, Retina UK, Solace Women’s Aid and Glasspool. We deliver workshops on how to create audience insight for charities with limited resources.

Tone of voice

We have delivered tone of voice projects for World Vision UK, Citizens Advice, Involve and the New Forest National Park Authority. Our director Sarah literally wrote the book on tone of voice for the charity sector: Perfect pitch: Linking voice and values, published by CharityComms.

Training & workshops

Every staff member and volunteer is an ambassador for your organisation, so shouldn’t they have the tools and confidence to communicate brilliantly? In our ever-more connected world, your reputation can’t just be left to the comms teams. Our training builds capacity in all parts of the organisation, from frontline staff to senior leaders. As well as core skills like storytelling, we help roll out wider organisational communications initiatives, like a new brand or campaign.

We have delivered training and facilitated workshops for clients including Citizens Advice, Home-Start UK and Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils.

Content & copywriting

Sometimes it’s a strapline that sums up your organisation’s brand narrative. Or else a report that shows the impact of your work through compelling stats and stories. We have extensive experience in content and copywriting, and excel in longer-form outputs, where sustaining a consistent tone through storytelling is especially challenging. We can also manage the content gathering, editing and creative process, bringing on board trusted fellow freelancers when needed.
